The DocuSign 2018 Hackathon

Saturday, 8:00am - 12:00am PDT

Data Science, Web Development, Data Engineering

Every organization has a system of agreement. It starts with a handshake and ends with a signature. Trouble is, most are held together with bubblegum and paper clips. But as a talented developer, you can help change that. Bring your ideas for groundbreaking eSignature implementations and compete to win $10,000+ in prizes (along with fame). In addition, you’ll meet your peers, enjoy great food and giveaways, learn a lot and have a great time. Mentors from DocuSign and Salesforce will be on site to lend a hand and lead workshops to help you create your masterpiece. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of hackathon challenges, and winners will be invited on stage at our annual conference, Momentum, on Thursday June 21 during the closing keynote. Teams can be from one to four people. Have a great idea but short a member or two? We can help. Come build something amazing.

Naive Bayes Algorithm for Text Classification Workshop

Thursday, 6:00pm - 9:00pm PDT

Data Science

This is an introduction to using Naive Bayes for text classification. We will learn how to code Naive Bayes to classify text documents, such as whether a news article is "sports" or "business". You'll learn how Naive Bayes works, where it can be used, and you'll get a chance to run it on real text data. We’ll be doing hands-on coding in Python. You’ll leave this session equipped to apply this classification technique to other text datasets.
