Hire a Veteran

We work with companies to help place talented Veterans with skills in full-stack web development, software engineering, data science, and data engineering. These Veterans are job-ready and skilled in the latest technologies and methodologies, taught through our world-class data science immersive program and our software engineering immersive program.

Employer Guide to Hiring Veterans

The Veterans who graduate our programs are job-ready and have skills in full-stack web development, software engineering, data science, and data analytics. Here are a few other reasons why hiring Veteran talent is in your best interest:

Strong Tech Skills

Galvanize and Hack Reactor trains its students to be autonomous engineers and data scientists and our students are job-ready as soon as they graduate.

Veterans are skilled in learning new skills and concepts even before they come to Galvanize, where we teach all students how to learn new technologies and coding languages.

Work Ethic

Military members have already been trained to work efficiently and diligently in a fast-paced enviornment, which are values we continue building at our education programs.

Service members understand the importance of policies and procedures and know when to take responsibility for their subordinates as well as when to properly elevate issues.

Operation Level Up: Training Active Duty Soldiers

In partnership with the Solider For Life - Transition Assistance Program at Fort Hood, Galvanize trains soldiers in their last six months of active duty service to prepare for a career in software engineering upon their transition to civilian life. We train students in programming fundamentals, web development, software engineering, and more.

Hack Reactor did a good job of preparing us. The format of how we did our day-to-day was meant to be as if we're in agile teams doing sprint planning. In a classroom setting, I didn't really understand that, but I’m now working at a big corporation and it's the same format."
