Data Science Basic Prep


Basic Prep is an individual, self-paced study program that guides you in developing the foundational Python and Statistics skills necessary for success in the Galvanize Data Science Immersive bootcamp. You will have access to a Slack channel full of other learners like yourself. Start learning today on your path to becoming a Data Scientist.

Data Science Premium Prep


Premium Prep allows you to develop foundational Python and Statistics skills in a group setting. This structured, ONLINE course takes you through all the basics of Python and Statistics. You learn to express statistics through Python, on problems relevant to Data Science. Ask questions during class hours, monitor your progress, be held accountable, and interact with your peers. Set and meet your goals!

  • Course cost applied toward immersive tuition
  • 50 hours live-lecture, group study, and live-coding
  • Help Desk/Slack support
  • Goal setting and completion toward the Technical Interview and Day 1 of the Data Science Immersive

Data Science Mentored Prep


Mentored Prep prepares you for the Data Science Immersive with personal support and direct accountability as you progress toward your Technical Interview. This self-paced study program gives you the flexibility to work at your convenience within a 3 month window, with the benefit of dedicated support.

  • Online, self-paced study
  • Book sessions with an expert mentor when you are stuck in your learning materials
  • Goal setting and completion with an expert mentor, whose priority is to bring out your excellence
  • Support via Slack outside of scheduled mentor sessions

Python Fundamentals


Python Fundamentals allows you to develop foundational Python skills at one of Galvanize's campus locations. This in-person course covers the building blocks of Python, including the basic programming skills individuals within the tech field use every day. You learn to design and implement Python programs in an object-oriented manner and expand your knowledge of popular data science libraries. Ask questions during class hours, learn alongside your peers, and learn to code in Python!

What You'll Learn



Explore fundamental data types like strings, booleans, lists and dictionaries. Learn how to create and organize your code into a clean, professional flow.


Linear Algebra

Review and refine your linear algebra skills while focusing on relevant topics like vectors and matrices.


Probability and Statistics

Model real data using common probability distributions and learn how to infer properties during the data generating process.



Discover how databases are structured, how to add and remove data from a database, and how to query a database and answer questions using aggregations and joins.
