Software Engineering Daily: Engineering & AI Talks

March 9 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

32479936364-28848031

Learn from Tech Founders and Software Engineers from Slack, Viv Labs, and Scale API!

About the Event:

Software Engineering Daily is a podcast about software with 20,000 daily listeners. Topics on the show include distributed systems, Bitcoin, culture, career development, JavaScript, and coding boot camps.
This Meetup is a real-life manifestation of the podcast; we will have 3 short talks from popular guests who have appeared on the show. Some of the content will be advanced, some of it will be accessible to a wider audience. Each guest will speak for 20-30 minutes and then form a panel to discuss industry trends and answer questions.
Our goal is to educate and entertain you, and provide an environment that is welcoming for everyone, whether you are a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or a totally unrelated field.
About the Speakers:

Josh Levy was head of operations and infrastructure at Viv Labs, an AI company from the founders of Siri. Viv was acquired by Samsung in 2016, and Josh has been working on Open Guides since then.

Alexandr Wang is CEO of Scale API, a human-in-the-loop-as-a-service API company. Scale API is used by many companies to defer complex tasks to humans until a machine learning model is good enough to do the job.

Amir Shevat runs developer relations at Slack. He has a front row seat to how artificial intelligence is changing the job of knowledge workers.

Agenda:

6:00 pm – Doors open, networking & snacking

6:15 pm – Event kickoff
