Pepper Day: Program your first Robot at Galvanize San Francisco

November 10th is Pepper Day at Galvanize San Francisco!
SoftBank Robotics is bringing Pepper to Galvanize to showcase “Robotics as a Platform” and the natural evolution of the user interface.
You Will Learn:
1. How robots can bridge the gap between humans and technology – you will learn about exciting use cases for Pepper
2. How the Internet of Things will become integral to Pepper and the future of robotics.
3. How developers working on Pepper today are setting the standards for the future of robotics.
4. How you can get involved in the next wave of innovation
Pepper Day Agenda:
9am-12pm – “Coffee With Pepper”
Have a coffee on Pepper in the Galvanize Cafe! The Softbank Robotics team will be available to demonstrate some of her basic functionality.
12-2pm – “Lunch & Learn With Pepper”
Have lunch on Pepper, and learn more about the opportunities to build on Pepper’s open platform. This is a forum to allow people to dive a little deeper.
6-9pm – “Programming Your First Robot”
Join us for an evening event that brings the tech community (i.e. developers, data scientists, founder, etc.) together for an opportunity to see Pepper in action, hear from her creators, and learn more about ways to engage with and build on Pepper.
More About Pepper:
Pepper runs on an OS called NAOqi It is an embedded GNU/Linux distribution based on Gentoo, and has been tailored specifically to fit Pepper and NAO’s needs. SDK’s allow you to create modules to run on NAOqi with Matlab, Python, C++, .net and MS Robotics Studio. Learn more in the developer documentation
