Giovanna is a data scientist and engineer who loves math, algorithms and the power of data. Giovanna was previously a Software Engineer at Facebook, running experiments to analyze terabytes of data and building applications to help the company grow. She taught computer science at the University of Toronto, taught English in Hungary, and has been a mentor at Hackbright Academy. As a grad student at the University of Toronto, Giovanna published papers on theoretical computer science and graph theory.

While taking PhD coursework at Iowa State University, Josh developed a passion for analyzing data. He has consulted with companies on problems ranging from customer acquisition to the fight against cancer. With a passion for education, he consistently works to convey difficult ideas in a very tangible way.

Cary graduated from the University of Colorado – Boulder with degrees in Mathematics and Physics. While at CU-Boulder he taught programming in C, but now performs most of his coding pursuits in Python. He is diligent in making us all more efficient programmers.

Kenneth graduated UC San Diego with a degree in computer engineering. He has also always had an interest in statistics. His interest in both programming and statistics led him to data science. He is excited to teach and share his knowledge of the field.
