Marvin Bertin was trying to decide what to do next.
He’d just completed his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and wanted to find a way into a field that, as he put it, was at the core of modern innovation. In other words, he wanted to learn data science.
“I first heard about data science while working on a robotics project with quadcopter drones,” Bertin says. “It became clear to me that data science was going to fuel the innovations of the future and redefine our generation.”
The Master of Science in Data Science program offered at the Galvanize campus in San Francisco turned out to be exactly what Bertin was looking for: The program placed him at the forefront of the burgeoning field. “The program provided the perfect fusion between academic education and industry experience.”
