Hired raises $40 million in Series C funding. Leading the $40 million round was Lumia Capital, a firm with experience in taking companies like Hired international. Hired, named one of “The Hottest Startups of 2013” by Forbes, will enhance its candidate-first platform to take on the global recruiting market.

BrewJacket launches kickstarter campaign. Brewjacket launched a campaign for their next generation beer brewing device called Immersion Pro – Homebrew Fermentation System. It gives home brewers a professional grade fermenting environment, allowing them to produce commercial quality beer.

Data-driven ClearMetal launches first predictive intelligence platform. ClearMetal launched their first predictive intelligence platform built to solve a top shipping industry problem – knowing how to manage all assets efficiently. The platform will help the world’s largest shipping carriers become more efficient—reducing costs, increasing revenue, streamlining operations and promoting sustainability.

Zinc and Giving Assistant raise $92K. Zinc used charitable shopping platform Giving Assistant to help raise over $92K in proceeds to fund microloans for Zidisha entrepreneurs in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The Food Corridor reaches finals for SXSW Innovation Awards. The Food Corridor was named a finalist for the 2016 SXSW Innovation Awards in the “New Economy” category – awarded to those redefining the exchange of goods and services.

BowTie grows 400%, prepares for new launch. BowTie, a platform for launching feature-rich static sites, has grown over 400% in the first months of public beta. Sign up to receive early access to their new interface and tools for client hand-off in March.

Women Rising supporting women in tech. The 501(c)3 matches women mentors to candidates in male-dominated industries, like tech. Their crowdfunding campaign to help them expand to Colorado, improve their mentor-matching algorithm, and develop an iOS app .

Apto hires CFO Jennifer Panning. Jennifer Panning brings more than 20 years of finance experience working with diverse companies as the new Chief Financial Officer at Apto.

The Package Guard launches Kickstarter through April. The Package Guard is on a mission to protect your delivered packages from thieves with a Frisbee-sized alarm that sits at your front door. Support their campaign through April 8, 2016.

Turbo Tenant goes national. Turbo Tenant offers free landlord software designed to provide independent landlords, real estate agents and property managers with the tools they need in order to be successful. Their software is now available in all 50 states.

Hakka Labs connects top data engineers and scientists. Hakka labs is launching their 2-day DataEngConf at Galvanize San Francisco on April 7-8. Data engineers and scientists from Google, Pinterest, Lyft, Netflix, Slack, and more will share presentations.
