Apollonia (Fort Collins) announced that its first product, Kovanaze™ Nasal Spray, is now approved by the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Kovanaze (tetracaine HCI and oxymetazoline HCI) is the first product that allows for dental anesthesia to be administered through a nasal spray without using a needle. It is intended for use in dentistry as a topical anesthetic, delivered in the nasal cavity, to achieve tooth nerve anesthesia.
