I started Galvanize with my two co-founders, Chris and Lawrence, with a radical goal: Solve the innovation and talent gap by making opportunities in technology available to all those with the aptitude, drive and determination, not just those who went to the “right school” with the “right degree.”
Four years later, across 7 beautiful campuses with Phoenix and New York in the works, Galvanize has created a dynamic tech learning community supporting more than 1,000 students and 2,000 community members ranging from first-time aspiring entrepreneurs to household brands in the Fortune 50. We have created a community where people and companies with the guts and smarts to create real-world change congregate and inspire each other.
Today, we announced a new partner to join our journey: ABS Capital Partners. ABS, along with University Ventures, Haystack Partners, Colorado Impact Fund, and Greg Maffei’s Aspen Grove, have provided us with $45 million in Series B funding—that’s 45 million new ways to transform lives.
In ABS, we have found a great partner that believes in our mission, our commitment to setting the highest standards for outcome-driven tech education, and our team of more than 300 Galvanizers who work tirelessly every day creating transformative learning opportunities for our students and members.
We believe character is what counts—in people and in companies. We bring great people and companies together in one community where they can develop the skills, mindset and network necessary to thrive in a technology-driven world.
There are no shortcuts to becoming a great engineer and there are no shortcuts to building a great business. We will continue to work collaboratively with our colleagues and industry peers, win with integrity, and transform lives. Our interests align with our students and members, and the awesome Galvanize team will provide more opportunities for anyone with ADD—aptitude, drive and determination—to succeed in a technology-driven world.
